The Opportunity
The Product Manager, Payments, drives outcomes across online checkout, gateway integrations, settlement/reconciliation, refunds/voids, disputes, and accessibility readiness. This role owns the roadmap for Payments features, defines measurable outcomes, and partners cross-functionally to deliver increments that improve payer experience and operational results.
What You Will Do
  • Own product vision, roadmap, and outcomes; define KPIs and monitor performance.
  • Prioritize and maintain the backlog; write high-quality epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead discovery and solution design; ensure increments meet requirements.
  • Drive release planning, enablement, and communications.
  • Run continuous improvement experiments and partner with Engineering.
  • Partner with Compliance/Security on PCI/SOC/NACHA impacts and audit readiness.

Requirements
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Advanced knowledge of payment methods and flows: card-not-present, ACH/EFT, digital wallets.
  • Expertise in risk & operations: tokenization, AVS/CVV, 3-D Secure, fraud controls, chargebacks, settlement, reconciliation.
  • Strong compliance & security: PCI DSS Level 1, SOC 1/2, NACHA rules, EMV concepts, PII/PHI handling.
  • Accessibility: WCAG 2.1 AA baseline and advancement toward WCAG 2.2 AA.
  • Data & reporting: lifecycle telemetry, GL/ledger mapping, reconciliation reports.
  • Integration patterns: postbacks/webhooks, idempotency, retries, SFTP batch exchanges.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, analytics tools, and SQL.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years in Product roles with 3+ years focused on Payments/FinTech or GovTech.
  • Proven delivery of payments features at scale.
  • Experience with public-sector clients, accessibility requirements, and enterprise integrations.

Preferred Certifications
  • CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or equivalent.
  • Payments certifications (e.g., ePayResources, NACHA Accredited ACH Professional).
  • Accessibility training aligned to WCAG AA.
