About this Role

Job Summary: As a Senior Product Manager at Apex, you will set the direction for a product and scale it effectively. You will identify high-impact opportunities, oversee end‑to‑end delivery across design, engineering, data, and go‑to‑market, and ensure the product meets performance, reliability, and customer experience standards while representing the product in executive forums.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently own a product: define vision, strategy, and a multi‑quarter roadmap that delivers material outcomes (growth, customer experience, efficiency) and clear decision rights.
  • Set product OKRs/KPIs and operating mechanisms (intake, prioritization, governance, release planning); ensure execution discipline through cadenced reviews, risk management, and course‑correction.
  • Lead complex, cross‑org initiatives; influence senior stakeholders and secure resources for the highest‑impact work; align multiple teams on goals, milestones, and accountability.
  • Establish and enforce quality, reliability, security, and compliance guardrails; own product health and SLAs with engineering, including postmortems and remediation for incidents.
  • Develop compelling business cases; guide investment decisions and portfolio prioritization across related product areas, including build/buy/partner evaluations and ROI modeling.
  • Represent the product in executive forums and with key customers; drive alignment and accountability; communicate strategy, trade‑offs, and performance transparently.
  • Coach and elevate PMs; review roadmaps/PRDs; raise the bar on discovery, experimentation, and decision quality; mentor on product craft, operating standards, and stakeholder influence.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required; Master’s (e.g., MBA, CS, Engineering) preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8+ years in product management, including independent ownership of a product line.
  • History of setting vision and multi‑quarter roadmaps, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering material business outcomes.
  • Experience establishing operating mechanisms and quality/compliance guardrails and leading high‑visibility launches.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Systems and portfolio thinking: defines product vision and multi‑quarter roadmap; aligns investments to outcomes and adjacent areas.
  • Executive communication and influence: frames trade‑offs and decisions; secures resources and cross‑org alignment.
  • Metrics and modeling: sets KPIs/OKRs; models impact/ROI; course‑corrects based on performance and risk.
  • Technical and architectural fluency: engages on architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance guardrails.
  • Operational excellence: establishes operating mechanisms (intake, prioritization, governance); owns product health, SLAs, and postmortems.
  • Coaching and bar‑raising: mentors PMs; reviews roadmaps/PRDs; elevates product craft, measurement, and stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep fluency in platform/API strategy and third‑party integrations; engages on architecture, scalability, and reliability.
  • Executive‑level storytelling with data (impact/ROI modeling; influencing senior stakeholders).
  • Track record leading major launches and representing the product with executives and strategic customers.
  • Experience leading large‑scale replatforming or migration initiatives, driving cross‑org alignment and risk management.
