Product ManagerQuick Snapshot

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Compensation:ย Starting at $120,000, with flexibility for the right candidate, plus a comprehensive benefitsย

Reports To: CTO

Product: Payment Orchestration Platform

Experience: 4+ Years of Product Management Experience

About the Role

Easy Pay Direct is looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of our payment orchestration platform.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a backlog and simply manage tickets. You'll work directly with engineering, sales, customer success, and company leadership to determine what gets built, why it matters, and how it creates value for merchants.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll play a key role in shaping product strategy, defining priorities, and driving execution. There is no CPO or Director of Product layer above this role, giving you meaningful ownership and visibility from day one.

We're looking for someone who can take over many of the product responsibilities currently handled by company leadership and help build a scalable product function as the company grows.

We believe AI is becoming a core part of modern product management, and we're looking for someone who actively leverages AI tools to move faster, make better decisions, and improve how products are built.

If you're energized by ownership, thrive in environments with ambiguity, and enjoy building products that solve real customer problems, we'd love to meet you.

Why This Role Is DifferentDirect access to company leadership and key decision-makers.
  • Significant ownership with no product management hierarchy above you.
  • Opportunity to influence both product strategy and execution.
  • Direct impact on merchant experience, platform growth, and company revenue.
  • Opportunity to expand your scope and influence as the company grows.
  • Work on products that directly affect payment performance and revenue outcomes for merchants.
What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you'll:

  • Take ownership of key product initiatives currently managed by leadership.
  • Deliver high-impact platform improvements from concept through launch.
  • Improve merchant experience through thoughtful product and UX decisions.
  • Establish meaningful product metrics to guide roadmap decisions.
  • Become a trusted partner to engineering, project management, sales, and customer success.
  • Help shape the long-term vision of our payment orchestration platform.
What You'll Do
  • Own the product roadmap end-to-end and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Translate business objectives and merchant feedback into product strategy and execution plans.
  • Turn ambiguous ideas into clear MVPs, requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with project management and engineering to ensure work is properly scoped and sprint-ready.
  • Gather, synthesize, and prioritize feedback from merchants and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate competitors and identify opportunities to improve and differentiate the platform.
  • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate integration and partnership opportunities.
  • Define success metrics and use data to guide product decisions and investments.
  • Partner with sales and marketing on go-to-market planning and product launches.
  • Drive clarity, alignment, and decision-making across teams.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS environments.
  • Experience in payments, merchant services, payment processing, payment orchestration, fintech, BNPL, or related financial technology environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong product design instincts. You don't need to be a designer, but you should be able to recognize exceptional product experiences, identify UX friction, and advocate for intuitive user journeys.
  • Experience writing detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing roadmaps across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of shipping successful products and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Fluency with AI-assisted workflows and productivity tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Experience with payment orchestration, card vaulting, gateways, or payment processing platforms.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce ecosystems, merchant onboarding, and merchant lifecycle management.
  • Experience with subscription billing and recurring payment models.
  • Experience working with APIs, webhooks, integrations, and data pipelines.
  • Understanding of fraud prevention, risk management, and payment compliance.
  • Experience improving checkout flows, conversion rates, and customer journeys.
  • Experience working in Agile product development environments with quarterly planning cycles.
  • Familiarity with EOS / Rocks planning methodology.
  • Knowledge of international payments and cross-border regulations.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Experience working at a high-growth SaaS or fintech company.
Benefits
  • Health Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • East Austin Office with On-Site Shower
  • Fully Stocked Office Kitchen and Snacks
