Responsibilities

  • Design and develop significant technology initiatives end to end from conception to delivery

  • Ensure the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing

  • Collaborate closely with peers, cross-functional teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence and scope business and functional requirements and drive results

  • Accurately scope effort, identify risks and clearly communicate trade-offs with team members and other stakeholders

  • Provide technical leadership and be a role model in the team

  • Stay aware of industry trends and make technology choices and strategic decisions

  • Mentor engineers on technology, process, people, and product skills


Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related area

  • 7+ years of experience developing systems/software for large business environments

  • High energy, self-starter with a positive mindset and with a 'can do' attitude

  • Strong OOD and coding skills with Java Spring Boot, J2EE, REST, SOAP, JSON

  • Strong experience leading architecture design and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services

  • Skilled in software development lifecycle processes. Experience with SCRUM and Agile Development

  • Experience in leveraging Amazon Web Services for building scalable applications

  • Strong mentoring skills. Able to influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people

  • Experience in making successful trade-offs that balance the short- and long-term product goals

  • Passionate about mastering Fintech technologies and tackling challenges through innovative solutions
