An experienced accounting professional with 8-10 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally with a background in financial services, banking, or Fintech.

Lead full lifecycle accounting for Fintech programs, including onboarding, reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and process development, while ensuring GAAP compliance.

Job Summary
The Senior Fintech Accountant leads accounting for new and existing Fintech programs, ensuring accurate reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting in accordance with GAAP. This role develops accounting processes, analyzes transaction-level data, escalates anomalies, and shares knowledge across internal teams. The position supports innovative Fintech initiatives within a regulated banking environment and provides opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle accounting for Fintech programs, from onboarding to ongoing support
  • Develop accounting processes and procedures for each new program, including fund flows, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Perform high-volume daily reconciliations for prepaid card transactions, payment processing, and Fintech activity
  • Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries accurately and in compliance with GAAP
  • Understand financial structures, systems of record, and operational workflows for each Fintech program
  • Analyze transaction-level data to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or exceptions, escalating and resolving issues
  • Share process knowledge with accounting staff to ensure consistency and accuracy across teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8-10 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
  • Familiarity with bank reconciliations, prepaid card accounting, or payment processing platforms preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
