Job Description

Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work on flight-critical embedded radar applications for the commercial aerospace market. The successful candidate will: 

Perform systems engineering functions as part of an engineering design team. 

Be responsible for the development of systems-level requirements. 

Perform a full range of technical tasks including the use and application of advanced engineering methods and tools. 

Define and lead problem solving efforts which support program goals and objectives. 

Use their technical and problem-solving skills to establish the most effective solution for complex problems that involve interaction of several technical disciplines. 

Generate, evaluate, select, and implement design solutions which are equal to the industry's state of the art. 

Provide technical insight to analyze risks and opportunities and be able to adjust plans to minimize risk and maximize opportunity. 


Specific responsibilities include: 

Discover, develop, and document systems-level requirements based on industry standards and customer requirements, using a DOORS environment 

Develop system-level documentation in support of company development process and FAA and EASA certification, including Project Specific Certification Plan, System Development Plan, System Verification and Validation Plan, Systems Requirement Specification, Systems Design Document, System Safety Analysis, and Functional Hazard Assessment 

Plan, Prepare, and Conduct program phase gate reviews including PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR 

Execute functional, validation, and certification test plans and procedures, including those required for TSO and MOPS. 

Provide cross-functional support to all other functions on the development team, including Reliability, Hardware, Software, RF, and manufacturing functions, including review of cross-functional artifacts. 

Support Flight Testing 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field 

5+ years of Systems Engineering experience with embedded product development 

Experience developing and certifying products for the Commercial Aerospace market 

Experience with radar systems 

Demonstrated ability to work on large, distributed, cross-functional teams 


Additional Qualifications: 

Familiarity with the DOORS tool environment 

Excellent communication skills including the ability to directly engage and influence others 

Ability to manage risk and opportunity despite uncertainty 

Action oriented, high energy, able to seize opportunities when they arise
