About the Role
Our firm is recruiting on behalf of a Midwest-based organization operating in the agriculture, manufacturing, and food production space. This established company uses data-driven insights to support operations across commodities, processing, and supply chain functions.
We are seeking an Entry-Level Data & Business Analyst who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and motivated to transform raw data into meaningful business insights. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional business processes, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to grow within analytics and business intelligence.

Job Description
The Data & Business Analyst will support data analysis, reporting, and enterprise system users by ensuring data accuracy and delivering actionable insights to managers and operational teams. You will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and EDI to understand data needs, enhance reporting, and improve decision-making through analytics.
Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, spreadsheets, ERP systems, and enterprise data platforms. Validate and cleanse data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and Excel to communicate insights to managers and downstream users.
  • ERP / Enterprise Data Platform Support: Provide reporting and data support for ERP systems (such as Epicor or M3) and Power BI solutions layered over the Enterprise Data Platform, including writing and maintaining data queries.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Finance, and EDI teams to understand current and emerging data requirements, delivering insights that support both existing and future business needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of data definitions, metric calculations, reporting logic, and analytical processes.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a data, analytics, or reporting-related role (internships or relevant academic projects acceptable).
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, M3, or similar).
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, SQL queries, or structured datasets.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, agriculture, commodities, or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and interest in business processes and operational analytics.
