UCT is looking for a talented Director, Digital Workspace to join us in Chandler, AZ

The Director of Digital Workplace and Automation is the application owner who delivers on a roadmap focusing on the effective roll-out of the Microsoft digital workplace suite (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, Copilot) as UCT’s strategic productivity platform. In support of this vision, the director of digital workplace and automation will manage the dev/ops teams responsible for both delivering and supporting standard and custom solutions on these platforms, design & implement governance frameworks to enable usage to scale while maintaining a high level of security & compliance and define & advocate for best practices in the implementation these applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Apply best practice Dev/Ops principles to improve maturity in both solution delivery (timeliness, quality) and operational support (uptime, ticket resolution, on time delivery, user satisfaction) to improve.

  • Implement M365 governance inclusive of FinOps & self-service, ensuring alignment and accountability among key IT, financial, and functional stakeholders to grow platform usage responsibly.

  • Promote innovation through the discovery and deployment of new features, including but not limited to the use of GenAI (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio) and AI/ML (Azure AI Builder).

  • Engage with business stakeholders to perform business analysis and ROI assessments on candidate solutions to inform priority and architectural fit.

  • Rigorously manage an internal and external workforce of up to 20 individuals to meet data-driven performance objectives.

Technical Skills

  • Professional development: certification or evidence of continued education in cloud platforms (Azure), automation (Power Apps / Automate), and emerging AI technologies (Copilot, Azure).

  • Training or certifications related to Microsoft 365, cloud governance, or DevOps practices (preferred).

Experience Requirement: 

Work Experience:  

  • 10+ years as an application owner of the M365 applications, with accountability for roadmap delivery and platform adoption.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance innovation, governance, security, and compliance in a medium to large scale digital workplace environment.

  • Led delivery and ongoing support of Microsoft 365 digital workplace solutions, including both standard and custom applications.
