Job description

Role Overview:
This role focuses on integrating Azure-hosted applications with enterprise IAM platforms and, more prominently, on analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud spending across Azure and GCP environments. The specialist will implement cloud financial governance, manage cost allocation, and drive cost optimization initiatives using FinOps principles and tools like Apptio to strengthen authentication, authorization, and access governance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Integrate Azure-hosted applications with enterprise IAM platforms including Okta (SSO/MFA), Active Directory, SailPoint (IGA), and CyberArk (PAM).
  • Analyze, monitor, and optimize cloud spending across Azure and GCP environments.
  • Develop and maintain cloud cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models.
  • Implement cloud financial governance policies, standards, and cost controls.
  • Manage Azure Cost Management, Reservations, Savings Plans, and optimization recommendations.
  • Monitor and optimize GCP cloud consumption, committed use discounts, and resource utilization.
  • Create cloud spend dashboards, executive reports, and financial performance metrics using Apptio and cloud-native FinOps tools.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, architecture, and business teams to identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Perform cloud budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly financial reviews.
  • Validate resource tagging strategies and ensure adherence to FinOps governance standards.
  • Identify underutilized, idle, orphaned, and oversized cloud resources and recommend remediation actions.
  • Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives by providing cost models, TCO analysis, and ROI assessments.
  • Establish KPIs and FinOps metrics to measure cloud efficiency and business value realization.
  • Develop FinOps operational procedures, governance documentation, and executive reporting frameworks.
  • Support cloud consumption reviews with stakeholders and provide recommendations for continuous optimization.

Required Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cost Management, Cost Analysis, Budgets, Reservations, Savings Plans, and Advisor Recommendations.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cost management and optimization capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Apptio Cloudability, Apptio Cost Transparency, or Apptio FinOps solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of FinOps Framework principles, cloud financial governance, and cloud economics.
  • Experience with cloud cost allocation, chargeback/showback, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience using Power BI, Excel, or equivalent reporting platforms.
  • Experience analyzing cloud resource utilization and identifying optimization opportunities across compute, storage, networking, and database services.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and cost optimization tools across Azure and GCP.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Experience creating cloud business cases, TCO analysis, ROI assessments, and financial reports.
  • Understanding of cloud tagging, governance, policy enforcement, and financial accountability models.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
