The Clean Room - Finishing Lead is responsible for coordinating and supporting second-shift activities within the finishing/clean room department. This role provides guidance to employees, helps maintain safe and efficient operations, and ensures production and quality expectations are met.
What You'll Do:
  • Maintain the department with a "5S" philosophy
  • Cross train employees
  • Maintain all necessary paperwork associated with the position
  • Reduce/eliminate scrap
  • Communicate with other supervisors to improve quality and productivity
  • Act in a professional manner when conducting business for the Company
  • Assist maintenance with the upkeep of all equipment
  • Ensure castings are shipped to customer specifications
  • Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned
  • Promote and enforce safety practices, housekeeping standards, and use of required PPE
  • Monitor work in process to ensure quality standards and work instructions are followed
  • Identify and communicate issues related to safety, quality, staffing, or equipment
  • Assist with training, coaching, and onboarding of employees
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving activities
  • Maintain required documentation related to production and quality
