Job description

Stewart Restaurant Group is continuing to grow and has an immediate opening for a Financial Accountant.

The Financial Accountant position supports the month end close cycle including journal entry preparation, account analysis, account reconciliations and preparations of financial reports. The position will also have responsibilities for fixed asset reporting and preparation of management schedules. The candidate should possess strong organization and communication skills along with being detail orientated. The candidate will need to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in an environment that deadlines need to be met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Record General Ledger activity for several entities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances
  • Maintenance of Fixed Assets
  • Special Projects as needed

Position Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • 1-2 years of general accounting experience
  • Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills
  • Organized and detailed orientated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
