A day in the life

This hybrid Denver-based role serves as a senior leader on the FAST (Financial Accounting Systems) Team, with ownership of Prologis' financial close, consolidation, reconciliation, management reporting, and financial data governance platforms. This role supports a complex global Finance environment that includes 8,000+ entities and more than 65 funds and ventures globally. The Director partners with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, Finance Transformation, ERP, Reporting, IT, and Data & Analytics teams to keep financial systems and outputs accurate, timely, controlled, and decision-useful. The role advances operational excellence, platform reliability, and scalable future-state capabilities across Oracle EPM and related reporting platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and continuously improve the core financial close and reporting application stack, including Oracle FCCS, Essbase/Freeform, EDM, ARCS, Narrative Reporting, and related capabilities.
  • Ensure close, consolidation, reconciliation, reporting, and metadata processes are stable, accurate, scalable, and supported by effective controls.
  • Partner with Controllership and SEC Reporting to support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting cycles.
  • Lead design, optimization, and enhancement efforts across financial close, reconciliation, management reporting, and EPM reporting capabilities.
  • Govern reporting structures, hierarchies, mappings, approvals, workflows, metadata change controls, and alignment across ERP, EPM, Sigma, data lake outputs, and other reporting platforms.
  • Partner with ERP, IT, Data & Analytics, and integration teams on data flows, automation opportunities, system dependencies, access/security, and cross-platform alignment.
  • Develop documentation, process flows, support models, and communication materials while mentoring team members and elevating financial close, reporting, and EPM capability within FAST.

Building blocks for success

Required:

  • 6+ years of related experience in Finance systems, EPM, financial close, consolidation, reporting, finance transformation, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting financial close, consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes in a complex corporate environment.
  • Experience with Oracle FCCS, HFM, Oracle EPM Cloud, Essbase, Freeform, EDM, ARCS, Narrative Reporting, or similar platforms.
  • Experience aligning business requirements, financial definitions, hierarchies, reporting outputs, and system capabilities across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience improving Finance processes through system design, reporting structures, data alignment, controls, or documentation.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams on integrations, data flows, access/security, automation, or supporting systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior leaders and working teams, structure ambiguous problems, lead through influence, and drive results in a matrixed environment.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or highly complex consolidation environments.
  • Experience supporting public company reporting, SEC reporting processes, or management reporting cycles.
  • Experience with ERP integrations and financial data flows; PeopleSoft or Oracle Fusion experience is a plus.
  • Experience establishing metadata governance, hierarchy governance, reporting standards, and financial data controls.
  • Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.

Hiring salary range of: $140k - $192k. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentives) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
