Job description

IFS Solution Architect
USA Remote

  • Salary: $160K–$175K/year

MISSION & PURPOSE:

  • The IFS Solution Architect is responsible for designing and guiding the delivery of scalable, high-quality IFS solutions that enable customers to achieve their business objectives. This role serves as the technical and functional authority across engagements, ensuring that solution design aligns with customer requirements, IFS best practices, and long-term value realization
  • The Solution Architect acts as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams—bridging business needs with system capabilities, driving architectural integrity, and enabling successful ERP transformations. The objective is to deliver solutions that are robust, maintainable, and aligned with customer strategy while minimizing risk and accelerating time to value
  • We are seeking a Solution Architect who is equally comfortable in executive discussions and deep technical design, with strong expertise in IFS Cloud and earlier Apps versions and a proven ability to lead solution design across complex enterprise programs
  • We have made Professional Services delivery excellence a cornerstone of our strategy. This is an opportunity to shape how IFS solutions are architected and delivered across a growing portfolio of strategic customers

HIGHEST PRIORITY COMPETENCIES:

  • IFS Solution Expertise: Deep functional and technical expertise in IFS Cloud and earlier IFS Applications versions across core enterprise modules, with the ability to design cohesive, end-to-end solutions aligned to complex business requirements
  • Solution Architecture & Design Leadership: Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solution architectures, balancing configuration, standard functionality, and extension strategies while maintaining architectural integrity
  • Executive & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to communicate solution options, trade-offs, and implications to both business and technical stakeholders, including executive audiences
  • Cross-Functional Architecture & Governance: Experience designing and governing integrations between IFS and external systems while ensuring end-to-end solution integrity across functional domains such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end solution design for IFS implementations, including requirements gathering, solution definition, validation, and delivery support
  • Provide architectural leadership across engagements, ensuring adherence to standards and alignment with customer objectives and agreed scope
  • Define solution architecture, including system configuration, integrations, data flows, and extension strategies
  • Maintain solution design documentation and architectural standards for consistency and traceability
  • Facilitate solution workshops with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and align on process design
  • Ensure alignment with IFS best practices and standard functionality, minimizing unnecessary customization
  • Provide guidance to functional consultants, developers, and data teams to ensure delivery quality and consistency
  • Identify and mitigate solution risks including design gaps, integration dependencies, and performance concerns
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution shaping, estimation, and SOW development
  • Act as a trusted advisor on solution design, system capabilities, and long-term roadmap considerations

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven ERP solution architecture experience in a Professional Services environment, with strong IFS implementation exposure
  • Deep knowledge of IFS Cloud and earlier IFS Applications versions across multiple modules
  • Experience designing complex, multi-entity or multi-site ERP implementations
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, configuration, and performance optimization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement
  • Ability to balance strategic design with hands-on delivery involvement
  • Experience contributing to proposals, SOWs, and pre-sales engagements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a consulting environment

CULTURE CODE:

  • Mission-driven and customer-focused
  • Transparent and accountable
  • Autonomous, not hierarchical
  • Committed to continuous learning and mastery
  • Open to challenging the status quo
  • Selective about talent and quality

WHY JOIN:

  • Work across diverse enterprise customers delivering high-impact ERP solutions
  • Influence solution architecture standards and delivery quality
  • Join a collaborative professional services environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement
