Emerald Financial Group is a growing independent financial services practice of Thrivent. We take a broad-based approach to helping clients achieve multiple financial goals, with a primary focus on individuals and families who are approaching or currently in retirement and have at least $100,000 in investable assets.

Position Summary
The Customer Service Administrator (Paraplanner) position will come alongside our Advisors to learn how to create financial plans and soak up firm-specific procedures and processes. Key responsibilities include preparation of financial plans, investment research and analysis, and coordination of client service needs with team members. The Customer Service Administrator (Paraplanner) reports to and is employed by Emerald Financial Group. This is an in-office position.
This position provides a growth track to obtain FINRA SIE 7/66 as well as MN Life and Health licensing within the first year.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter client information into various systems
  • Prepare and update financial plans and presentation material for client meetings
  • Enter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plans
  • Deepen existing client relationships through making sure client information and documentation is up to date
  • Research and respond to client inquiries
  • Finalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperwork
  • Assist in generating performance reports
  • Maintain information in CRM (Salesforce) system
  • Fill out necessary forms for opening and maintaining accounts
  • Identify and offer recommendations on how to optimize workflows
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
  • Extremely strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent Financial
