What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Financial Risk Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Financial Risk Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of finance and statistics, and typically a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with risk modeling tools, financial software like Excel, MATLAB, or Python, and certifications such as FRM or CFA are highly valued. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help analysts present complex risk findings clearly and work well in teams. These competencies are essential for accurately assessing potential risks, supporting sound decision-making, and safeguarding an organization's financial stability.

What are some common challenges faced by Financial Risk Analysts in their daily work, and how can they be addressed?

Financial Risk Analysts often deal with rapidly changing market conditions and large volumes of complex data, which can make accurate risk assessment challenging. Staying updated with regulatory changes and effectively communicating risk findings to stakeholders with varying levels of financial knowledge are also frequent hurdles. To address these challenges, analysts typically use advanced risk modeling tools, participate in ongoing training, and collaborate closely with other departments such as compliance and trading. Building strong analytical and communication skills is key to navigating these demands successfully.

Job description

As an Analyst Relations Manager, you will be at the intersection of strategic communications, market intelligence, and AI-enabled operations. You will work directly with the Senior Director of Market Intelligence to develop and maintain SentinelOne's positioning with the global analyst community while helping build the systems, processes, and relationships that will sustain our leadership in the cybersecurity industry for years to come.

This is not a role for someone looking to maintain the status quo. We want someone who is intellectually curious, energized by analyst engagement, and genuinely excited about using AI tooling to work smarter and faster.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Build and cultivate trusted relationships with industry analysts across Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other key firms relevant to the Endpoint, SIEM, Cloud, Identity, and AI Security cybersecurity industries.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for analyst inquiries, briefing requests, and research participation opportunities.
  • Coordinate and prepare for analyst briefings and inquiries, working cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, and executive stakeholders to ensure SentinelOne is consistently represented at its strongest.
  • Track analyst research agendas and proactively surface opportunities for SentinelOne to participate in and influence relevant evaluations.
  • Leverage AI tooling to build scalable, repeatable workflows for analyst tracking, communication cadences, briefing preparation, and insight synthesis.
  • Identify automation opportunities across the AR function and implement lightweight systems that reduce manual lift and increase team velocity.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards or trackers that give the broader Market Intelligence team real-time visibility into analyst sentiment, coverage, and engagement history.
  • Experiment with and recommend emerging AI tools that can improve how we monitor, analyze, and act on analyst community signals.
  • Partner with the Senior Director of Market Intelligence to design and execute a multi-year AR strategy aligned to SentinelOne's product roadmap and market ambitions.
  • Synthesize analyst research and feedback into actionable insights for product, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
  • Monitor analyst coverage of SentinelOne and competitors, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities in our market narrative.
  • Contribute to SentinelOne's share-of-voice goals by ensuring analysts have the information and access they need to write accurately and favorably about our platform.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing and Product Management to align AR messaging to launch cycles, campaigns, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with the Competitive Intelligence function (also within Market Intelligence) to ensure AR insights inform and enrich the broader CI picture.
  • Support the development of analyst-ready materials including briefing decks, backgrounders, and executive summaries.
What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 1-3 years of directly related experience in analyst relations, public relations, product marketing, or a related communications/strategy function - or 2-4 years of general professional experience with transferable skills, ideally within cybersecurity or enterprise technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize relationships with multiple external stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the major analyst firms (Gartner, IDC) and how their research processes and evaluation methodologies work.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (Claude, Gemini) and a genuine enthusiasm for using them to improve how work gets done.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and strategic topics into clear, compelling narratives.
  • High organizational agility - comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and ambiguity is the norm.
  • Collaborative, low-ego working style with a bias toward sharing credit and building things that last.
  • Experience in cybersecurity is a plus; intellectual curiosity about the space is required.
Why SentinelOne?
