Job Description
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our Pro Marketing Team that partners with the Professional Channel Organization. The position works closely with Pro Marketing, the Professional Org, FP&A, and cross-functional business leaders to provide financial insights, track marketing spend, support monthly close processes, and assist with forecasting and performance analysis.
This position is ideal for an early-career finance professional with 1-2 years of experience who is looking to grow within financial planning and marketing analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans, including consolidating marketing inputs and updating financial models.
  • Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis vs. budget and commentary on key P&L drivers affecting marketing spend.
  • Assists in the set-up of purchase orders and will review month-end accruals and journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial close for marketing activities.

Marketing Spend & Campaign Analysis
  • Track, reconcile, and analyze marketing expenses including purchase orders, invoices, and campaign-level spending. Deep dive expense and journal entry detail to uncover expense drivers and provide variance explanations to Director level, organizational owners.
  • Measure marketing program effectiveness using data such as ROI analysis and campaign performance benchmarks.
  • Partner with Pro Marketing to monitor brand initiatives, customer incentive programs and evaluate financial risks and opportunities associated with marketing investments.

Data Analysis & Modeling
  • Develop, maintain, and update financial models to support marketing decision-making, campaign evaluation, and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze financial and marketing data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Support data automation by working with tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI dashboards, depending on departmental needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with stakeholders in Marketing, Accounting, Pro Finance, and Corporate FP&A to ensure accuracy of spend and alignment with business strategy.
  • Prepare and present reporting materials and insights to marketing leadership and business partners.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel for modeling, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Understanding of foundational marketing concepts, KPI tracking, or marketing analytics preferred.

Preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to clearly communicate complex financial insights to non-finance partners.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SQL, CRM data, marketing analytics platforms, or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
