Job Summary:
Avèro Advisors is a fast-growing boutique management consulting firm that modernizes technology and business operations for state and local governments. They are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Project Manager to join their ERP implementation team, responsible for managing project plans, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of financial workstreams within the Workday system implementation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and resource allocation for assigned workstream(s) of the financial ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan.
• Collaborate with business process owners and functional leads to define requirements, map processes, and configure systems in your designated area(s).
• Lead and guide a team of business analysts and other project team members within your assigned workstream(s).
• Proactively identify and manage risks within assigned workstreams. Escalate potential impact on the broader project to the Program Manager. Develop and implement solutions to keep your project components on track.
• Where required, work with Workday representatives and/or external partners to manage technical integrations and align on requirements.
• Provide regular progress reports to the Program Manager, team members, and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation as per defined standards.
• Participate in the development of test plans for assigned workstream(s). Support execution of testing and UAT, ensuring issues are addressed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technology implementations and managing budgets.
• Deep financial knowledge to assist in translating the implementation process to financially minded stakeholders.
• Understanding of core ERP concepts and familiarity with workstream areas like HR, payroll, or finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at working with both technical and business teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Based in and with the ability to commute to the Portland, OR area.
Preferred:
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
