Our client, a growing real estate development and construction company, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Project Manager to join their team in Portland. This is a great opportunity for someone with multifamily construction experience who is ready to grow into more responsibility, or for an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager who is ready to lead larger, more complex developments.

This role offers flexibility depending on experience level. An Assistant Project Manager may support key project activities while continuing to grow into a full Project Manager role. A Project Manager will take ownership of day-to-day project execution, while a Senior Project Manager will have the opportunity to lead more complex projects, oversee broader project strategy, and serve as a key point of leadership across internal and external teams.

You’ll play an important role in delivering multifamily construction projects from pre-

construction through closeout, working closely with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage multifamily construction projects through all phases, from pre-construction to close-out.
  • Prepare and review bid packages, scopes of work, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate bidding activities and assist with subcontractor solicitation and selection.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and compliance with building codes and safety requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, change orders, and revisions with project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Oversee project close-out activities and ensure successful project delivery.
  • For senior-level candidates, provide broader project leadership, mentor junior team members, and take ownership of larger or more complex developments.

Project Manager Qualifications:

  • Experience may range from an Assistant Project Manager ready to step into more responsibility to a Senior Project Manager with deep multifamily project leadership experience.
  • 6+ years’ experience in construction project management
  • 4+ years’ experience in multi-family project construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, budgeting, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Company Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401K with matching
  • Generous PTO and holidays
  • Training and development opportunities

Compensation: $110K-$180K DOE + bonus
