Job description

Astronics-PECO designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace.

Proactively surface and drive hard discussions around risks, trade-offs, priorities, and resourcing; ensure decisions are made and documented.

Remove blockers for the team by coordinating across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Business Development, and other stakeholders. Adapt project management tools and practices to fit PECO's processes and culture. During the stage gate process, communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers to resolve issues using technical acumen, sound judgment, and strong project leadership skills.

Manage a portfolio of projects that may range from long-term, complex programs to shorter cost-reduction or continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee resolution of internal and external project challenges to ensure the needs of both the customer and PECO are met. Communicate clearly and succinctly-verbally and in writing-with all functional departments, senior management, and customers, providing direction, plans, decisions, and issue resolution (not just status).

Occasional travel as required Will oversee all facets of the formal product development to meet customer requirements within the stage gate process utilizing cross functional teams. Responsible for achieving compliance with the schedule, budget, scope, and customer satisfaction by leading the cross functional team to achieve the project's charter/objectives for each assigned project Challenge ideas and continuously strive to make improvements Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of Project Management experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in regulated industry such as AS9100, TS16949, ISO 9001, or similar required.

Aerospace and Defense manufacturing experience, preferred. Understanding of the Quality Management Systems within Aerospace or other highly regulated industry Experience working in a manufacturing environment with various processes, such as die casting, injection molding, CNC, and component assembly; preferred. Strong leadership experience, involving achieving results through others who are not direct reports, working with other teams such as Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development.

Proven performance in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with challenging deadlines. Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and stage gate project management concepts. Sound communication skills, including ability to produce and present presentations before senior executives, customers, and internal company co-workers.

Experience in change management and conflict resolution. Understands importance of teamwork, gaining "buy-in" from team members prior to execution, and leading by example. Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office applications and experience with project management software (i.e., MS Project)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Employment Eligibility Requirements: This position may involve access to items subject to U.S. export-control laws
