Job description

Aeronix Technologies Group (ATG) is seeking an experienced Aerospace and Defense Senior Program Manager to join our team. This position will be based in the Washington, DC area, split between our Rosslyn, Virginia office and our customer site.

Reporting to the President and Director of Program Management of Aeronix. This program management leader will be the primary interface for and responsible leader for a major Navy customer program in addition to several smaller programs across our portfolio. This position requires significant experience in program management of defense programs more than $15M annually, including specific experience in defense electronics programs and programs across full program lifecycle. The program manager will be primary point of contact with critical Navy customer while driving program execution and subcontract management to ensure mission and program success.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management

  • Serves as the primary customer interface and program manager for a major multi-year Navy customer IDIQ contract
  • Lead management, organization, and execution of all task orders required under the IDIQ
  • Lead a team of cross-disciplinary engineers to design, develop, produce, and sustain all systems required under the IDIQ
  • Lead proposal development and negotiation of new IDIQ task orders
  • Report on cost, schedule, and technical performance for the programs under contract
  • Lead the negotiation of contract and contract changes
  • Proactively identifies and manages risk and change on programs through risk and change management processes
  • Identifies resources needed to achieve desired contractual, business, and financial outcomes
  • Collaborate across IDIQ teammates to ensure alignment of specific task order requirements to the right resources for success
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, Statements of Work, and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms and conditions

Business Development

  • Supports the C6ISR Business Development team in the identification and capture of follow-on and new business within the portfolio of responsibility
  • Works with the primary customer, other government stakeholders, and the C6ISR Business Development to identify opportunities to drive new opportunities into the customer IDIQ
  • Works with customers to shape future customer requirements

Business Leadership

  • Shares best practices with internal Aeronix Technologies Group program managers and supporting functions
  • Enables and proactively supports cross-functional collaboration within and beyond C6ISR, including with engineering, supply chain, operations, and business development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, or a STEM related field; will consider Business degree with proven Aerospace and Defense experience
  • A minimum of 15 years professional experience in the defense sector, including at least 10 in the program management discipline
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs with successful mission and business outcomes, including with programs and portfolios of at least $15M annually
  • Past experience collaborating and doing business with the US government, the US Navy, the Government Research Labs, or similar
  • Significant experience managing teammates and in subcontract management
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience winning large captures, including follow-on and new business opportunities
  • Desired experience managing programs and opportunities in defense electronics, including deep experience in one of the following: hardware design and development, software design and development, software-defined systems, communications, or similar
  • Desired experience in all stages of program lifecycle, including design, development, production, and sustainment
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Active Top Secret/SCI desired; TS/SCI eligibility required; prefer active TS clearance

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position based in Washington, DC; minimum of 25% on-site with customer, with remaining time spent remote and in ATGโ€™s Rosslyn, Virginia office
  • Will require occasional travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with partners
  • Less than 25% travel

Compensation (range based on experience)

  • $150k โ€“ $175k base salary
  • Potential for 10-15% performance-based bonus
