Title: Program Manager III – IT

Pay: $66 - $92 per hour based on experience

Type: Hybrid in Seattle

Duration: 12 month contract

Position Overview:

In this role, you will partner across Finance, Finance Technology, and cross-organization engineering teams to discover, document, and transition finance use cases currently supported by Teradata and our current transactional database to a future-state platform.

This role is ideal for a leader who can bring structure to ambiguity, translate business needs into technical delivery plans, and drive alignment across multiple teams and workstreams. You will help ensure that finance capabilities are clearly understood, risks are surfaced early, and replacement solutions are delivered in a way that supports continuity, compliance, and long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end program delivery for a Finance transactional database deprecation effort across multiple finance domains, teams, and workstreams
  • Drive discovery to identify and document finance use cases, data dependencies, interfaces, reports, controls, and operational processes currently supported by existing database and related transactional systems
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to validate business requirements, criticality, timing, and success criteria for each use case
  • Work closely with FinTech and engineering teams to ensure each finance use case is assessed, solutioned, prioritized, and migrated to the target platform
  • Build and maintain integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, and issue management mechanisms across the full migration lifecycle
  • Create clear executive-ready reporting that communicates progress, risks, tradeoffs, decisions, and cross-team dependencies
  • Facilitate alignment across business, product, architecture, data, and engineering partners to resolve ambiguity and accelerate delivery
  • Translate technical constraints and architectural decisions into clear business impacts for finance and leadership stakeholders
  • Establish governance, working cadences, and decision forums that improve visibility, accountability, and delivery predictability
  • Proactively identify blockers, risks, and gaps in readiness, and drive mitigation plans through influence and structured escalation
  • Support change readiness by helping teams prepare for process, reporting, and platform transitions as legacy capabilities are retired
  • Promote durable delivery practices, documentation standards, and operational readiness to ensure successful cutover and long-term supportability

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, program management, or related delivery leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading complex enterprise data, platform, migration, or deprecation programs across multiple teams
  • Experience partnering with finance, accounting, or enterprise business functions on system, reporting, or data transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of program governance, dependency management, risk management, and executive communications
  • Experience working with engineering and architecture teams on platform modernization, data movement, or legacy system retirement efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and tools used for planning, reporting, and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • You are an experienced technical program leader with a track record of delivering large, cross-functional programs in complex, matrixed environments
  • You have a strong background working with Finance stakeholders and executives
  • You are comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels, from executive updates and portfolio tradeoff discussions to dependency mapping and delivery planning
  • You have strong technical fluency and can engage credibly with engineering, architecture, and data teams without needing to own the low-level design
  • You are skilled at turning ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable plans and decisions
  • You build trust quickly and lead through influence across senior stakeholders, business partners, and technical teams
  • You are highly organized, data-driven, and disciplined in managing program health, risks, and outcomes
  • You communicate clearly and concisely, tailoring your message for finance users, technical teams, and executive audiences
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, program management, or related delivery leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading complex enterprise data, platform, migration, or deprecation programs across multiple teams
  • Experience partnering with finance, accounting, or enterprise business functions on system, reporting, or data transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of program governance, dependency management, risk management, and executive communications
  • Experience working with engineering and architecture teams on platform modernization, data movement, or legacy system retirement efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience with agile delivery methodologies and tools used for planning, reporting, and execution
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with finance technology ecosystems, enterprise data platforms, or ERP-adjacent environments
  • Familiarity with data warehouse migrations, or data modernization programs
  • Experience documenting business processes, controls, reporting needs, and system dependencies in regulated or audit-sensitive environments
  • Experience supporting platform transitions that require strong coordination across finance, technology, and data teams
  • Comfort working through discovery-heavy programs where requirements, ownership, and solution paths evolve over time
