Job description

We are looking for the right people — people who want to innovate, achieve, grow and lead. We attract and retain the best talent by investing in our employees and empowering them to develop themselves and their careers. Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.

The Opportunity

At Halliburton Landmark, our PMO (Productivity Management Office) is the engine that empowers the organization to deliver strategic business outcomes. We drive success through aligned, cross-disciplinary collaboration, integrated customer-driven requirements, and fast, disciplined, and predictable end-to-end execution.

Aligned with industry best practices, this role reflects the modern software‑centric Program Manager - focused on outcomes, flow, and systems thinking, rather than task‑level project control. The Program Manager operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and value realization. This role ensures that complex, cross‑functional programs remain aligned to enterprise objectives, deliver customer and business value incrementally, and are executed with discipline and transparency.

We operate with a commitment to Velocity, Execution, Transparency, Alignment, and Accountability. We are looking for a leader who embodies these values to help us bridge the gap between complex technical delivery and business value.

Core Responsibilities and Value Creation

With minimal supervision, you will simultaneously manage end-to-end execution and reporting of multiple major customer-related Product Domain programs per the Zone Management Framework. You may also lead high-impact projects or programs across various geographies, practice areas and Product Domains. You will develop cost-effective solutions, evaluate alternatives, and collaborate with project sponsors to confirm requirements and deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will be expected to "connect the disconnected," ensuring that every project aligns with our broader strategic goals.

Job Duties
  • Program Leadership: Manage activities across functional groups, development centers, customers and stakeholders, overseeing schedule, scope, resource allocation, and risk.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with project teams to develop, estimate, and document project plans, including Release/Iteration plans and backlog management.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between management, project teams, customers, and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Quality & Validation: Coordinate validation, verification, and testing activities.
  • Process Excellence: Ensure all milestones defined by the PMO methodology are met; champion continuous process improvements.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage cost, software capitalization, and resource staffing.
  • Strategic Alignment: Set the strategic direction of your programs in strict alignment with overall organizational goals.

Key Value Drivers:

  • PMO Maturation: Drive the development and maturation of the PMO framework and processes to increase organizational delivery speed.
  • Operational Efficiency: Produce structured execution plans and timelines that lead to lower internal labor costs and optimized resource utilization.
  • Financial Integrity: Keep multimillion-dollar programs on track, preventing slippage or penalties, and ensuring structured transitions to product support.
  • Customer Experience: Reduce friction in deployment and upgrade efforts to improve Landmark’s credibility, protect revenue, and foster long-term customer partnerships.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field; PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 10+ years in Program/Project Management, preferably within a PMO or software/technical delivery environment.
  • Systems Thinker: Proven ability to use PMO tools and data systems to drive KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Technical Profile: Deep domain knowledge and a sufficiently technical background to navigate complex software delivery environments.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into "clear insights" for executive leadership.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to drive maturity in PMO frameworks and mentor project management staff.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Senior Project Manager and Chief Project Manager.
