Located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Alternate Payments Division. As a Financial Program Specialist, you will assist a Program Manager by analyzing, evaluating, and supporting financial operations.
Qualifications:
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-12, You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes applying project management principles and demonstrating expertise in developing and delivering financial outreach and communication strategies to educate federal stakeholders on credit and debit card program policies, compliance requirements, and operational best practices. Examples of this experience could include any of the following in relation to outreach and communication for financial services and systems:
- Experience creating and delivering outreach, training, and communication materials to explain financial policies, electronic payment initiatives, and credit/debit card services to federal agencies and partners; OR
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify processes, and ensure consistent messaging on credit/debit card processing and electronic payment systems, OR
- Experience querying and submitting reports on computer/systems applications to meet organizational requirements; OR
- Experience preparing briefs and guidance that translate technical financial system details into clear communication for leadership and stakeholders.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks.
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.Education:
