Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday | 8:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Position Overview
The Arizona Department of Revenue (AZDOR) is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join the Financial Services division. This role provides critical backup support for the district by managing administrative and financial operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data and facilitating essential banking and inventory processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Processing: Facilitate EFT authorizations, process stop payments, and track/process warrants.
  • Deposit & Invoice Management: Manage agency deposits and process invoices accurately and timely.
  • Inventory Control: Assist with maintaining and tracking agency inventory.
  • Administrative Support: Utilize automated accounting and banking systems to maintain precise financial records.
  • Data Analysis: Disseminate and analyze financial information to ensure high-quality output.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad, and Google Mail (Gmail).
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organization: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments under deadlines.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze information and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Experience: Previous experience in data entry and clerical accounting roles.
