The Operations Specialist I role is FULL-TIME, HYBRID, with an expectation of remote work after a suitable training period and acceptable level of competency has been reached. Candidates/employees must live within one hour drive of the Cary Headquarters building.

We’re looking for an Operations Specialist I to join our Operations team and help support the critical systems and processes that keep our credit union moving every day.

What You’ll Do

No two days look exactly the same in this role, and that’s part of what makes it exciting.

Depending on your level of experience and the needs of the department, you will support a variety of operational functions, including:

Payments & Transactions

  • Process ACH transactions, exceptions, returns, and periodic payments
  • Handle incoming and outgoing wire transfers
  • Support debit card and ATM transaction processing

Account & Member Support

  • Research and resolve account-related issues
  • Assist branches and call center teams with operational questions
  • Support deceased account processing and IRA transactions

Check & Cash Operations

  • Process daily check files and exceptions
  • Assist with ATM cash ordering and balancing
  • Help manage negative account activity and recovery efforts

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Track and maintain operational records electronically
  • Use Excel and other systems to analyze and organize data

Team Support

  • Partner with teammates across departments
  • Step in as backup support when needed
  • Help improve operational efficiency and service standards
