Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Office Assistant to join our Corporate Office team in Syracuse, NY.
The Financial Office Assistant will provide administrative and financial support to the Corporate Office, assist with accounting functions, maintain accurate financial records, and help ensure efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Financial Office Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, invoices, and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card accounts and prepare and distribute internal billing.
  • Process payroll imports and distribute weekly payroll reporting.
  • Process deposits and assist with cash management activities.
  • Maintain financial records and assist with data entry.
  • Maintain resident and vendor files in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide administrative support.
  • Coordinate with department leaders, vendors, and corporate staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding financial documentation and record retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
