Senior FP&A Analyst

Location: Hybrid – South Bend, Indiana (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join a growing credit union in South Bend, Indiana. This position will serve as a strategic finance partner responsible for Asset Liability Management (ALM), balance sheet management, financial forecasting, and risk analysis. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys working independently while providing meaningful financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Asset Liability Management (ALM) process by analyzing interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and overall balance sheet performance.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and executive decision-making.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, cash flow, capital adequacy, and balance sheet trends while identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, ALM analysis, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Partner with accounting and finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
  • Analyze interest rate sensitivity and provide recommendations that strengthen profitability while minimizing financial risk.
  • Support regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and credit union regulations.
  • Continuously improve reporting processes, financial models, and analytical tools to drive efficiency and better business decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, treasury, banking, credit union, wealth management, insurance, or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience with Asset Liability Management (ALM) and balance sheet management.
  • Strong understanding of interest rate risk, liquidity management, and financial risk mitigation.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently present findings to executive leadership.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • CFA, CTP, or other financial certifications are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
