Overview
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Management Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Support Specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the United States Space Force (USSF) by providing expert financial management and PPBE support that enables informed decision-making, enhances resource allocation, and advances critical national security and space mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Management PPBE Support Specialist will:
  • Support System Delta 81 and the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) Integrated Program Office (IPO) by providing financial management and PPBE support for critical test and training initiatives
  • Monitor the execution of assigned programs using automated financial management systems, including Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS) and Standard Accounting and Finance Enterprise System (SAFES)
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to support informed resource allocation and program execution decisions
  • Assist with the development, coordination, and tracking of financial requirements throughout the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) life cycle
  • Support the development of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and President's Budget (PB) submissions by collecting, validating, and analyzing financial information
  • Prepare financial reports, budget analyses, briefings, and supporting documentation for Government leadership and program managers
  • Identify budget execution issues, funding shortfalls, and financial risks, and recommend practical solutions to support mission objectives
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, program offices, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with program priorities
  • Provide financial management support for test range and operational programs in accordance with Department of Defense and United States Space Force policies and procedures
  • Travel to Government and industry locations as required to support program management activities
Requirements
Skills and Experience
The Senior Financial Management PPBE Support Specialist must have:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 8+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience supporting financial management, budgeting, acquisition, or program management activities
  • Working knowledge of the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Experience supporting Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development, President's Budget (PB) submissions, budget formulation, budget execution tracking, and financial reporting
  • Experience using DoD financial management systems such as CRIS, SAFES, or comparable financial management tools
  • Experience analyzing financial data, monitoring budget execution, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions
  • Experience supporting complex DoD acquisition, test, training, or operational programs
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education and Certifications
The Senior Financial Management PPBE Support Specialist must meet the following:

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
