What You Will Do:

Our Financial Management professionals help our clients in Defense and National Security optimize all elements of their financial management structure by transforming business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, improving transparency and performance management, promoting change management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations.

  • Support financial data analysis, reconciliations, and research across DFAS financial reporting and treasury processes

  • Assist with identifying automation or analytic opportunities to improve accuracy, transparency, and auditability

  • Participate in agile project activities, documentation, and sprint tasks alongside technical and functional teams

  • Contribute to development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations

  • Perform handson data prep, data quality review, and basic process mapping

  • Support work related to journal vouchers, IGT matching, variance analysis, and other core DFAS processes


What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • One (1) year of experience in accounting, finance, data analytics, information systems, or related field

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; basic proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning; ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly; exposure to Python, SQL, or data visualization tools; internship or academic project experience in federal financial management or analytics; interest in automation (RPA), AI, or data engineering concepts; and familiarity with USSGL, GTAS, or federal accounting principles.

  • Preferred professional certifications include Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM - AGA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA - AICPA), Project Management Professional (PMP - PMI), and Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM - ASMC).

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
