Professionals in this field apply economic theories and quantitative methods to areas like asset pricing, corporate finance, and monetary policy. Common roles include financial analysts, risk managers, and economic consultants. These jobs are found in banking, investment firms, government agencies, and research institutions. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of finance, economics, and data modeling are essential.
To thrive in Financial Economics, you need strong quantitative analysis, economic modeling, and data interpretation skills, typically backed by a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Proficiency with econometric software (such as Stata, R, or SAS), financial databases, and advanced Excel is often required, and additional certifications like CFA can be advantageous. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to support our
transportation and parcel operations. This role will focus on postage analysis, carrier billing and
auditing, client shipping performance, and identifying opportunities to improve transportation cost
and efficiency.
The Logistics Analyst will work closely with our Small Parcel team to monitor millions of annual

• Track and manage carrier claims, credits, disputes, and refunds
• Analyze carrier rate increases, surcharges, and pricing changes and quantify their financial impact
• Identify cost-saving and transportation optimization opportunities
Carrier & Rate-Shop Analysis
• Monitor carrier utilization, cost, service levels, and shipment performance
• Build and maintain carrier and client postage scorecards

• Identify opportunities to improve client shipping strategies, transportation costs, and service performance
• Analyze package dimensions, weights, packaging utilization, and DIM impacts
• Identify opportunities for carrier, service, packaging, and routing optimization
• Support holiday, peak-season, surcharge, and annual rate-change analysis
• Assist with postage calculators, pricing analysis, and client transportation solutions
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, parcel, supply chain, finance, or analytics preferred
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and analysis of large datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies through root cause
• Comfortable working with large, imperfect financial, operational, and shipment-level datasets
• Ability to translate analysis into clear findings, financial impacts, and recommendations
• Ability to communicate findings clearly across Finance, Operations, Account Management, and Technology
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, BigQuery, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools preferred
• Experience identifying measurable cost savings or optimization opportunities preferred
• Experience with parcel carriers, TMS/WMS platforms, rate shopping, carrier billing, or 3PL
operations is a strong plus
What Success Looks Like
A successful Logistics Analyst will become a trusted analytical resource for understanding what is
driving transportation spend, how carrier and client shipping behavior is changing, and where
opportunities exist to improve cost and performance.
This person will proactively identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities,
quantify their impact, and work with the broader transportation team to turn those findings into
measurable improvements.
They will be able to quickly answer: What changed? Why did it change? What is the impact? And what
can we do about it?
How to Apply
Send us a short note about why you're excited about this role and include:
• An example of a logistics, transportation, finance, or data project you've worked on.
• A time you used data to identify a trend, discrepancy, or improvement opportunity.
