OVERVIEW
The Global IT Finance Solution Owner ("Solution Owner") reports to the Global IT Corporate Functions Lead, and partners with the FCC/ASR Finance functions to translate functional strategy and requirements into process and data solutions. This role requires proficiency in finance business processes, consumer product goods industry knowledge, SAP and non-SAP platforms.
The Solution Owner brings deep process and system knowledge and is responsible for the design and roadmap of all Finance projects through the company and its partners.
The primary function of the Solution Owner is to work with the Finance functions to understand their strategic goals and define capabilities required to enable the vision of the function. In addition, the solution owner will provide an outside-in perspective from the industry and partner with the Enterprise Architecture team to optimize current processes and drive business outcomes from technology investments.
The Solution Owner must be self-driven, with strong business process knowledge, analytical skills, excellent communication, and good customer presence.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage and influence functional stakeholders on process and technology decisions aligned to global strategies, processes and solutions.
  • Develop the IT strategic roadmap for their process area.
  • In relationship with the Tower Delivery Lead, ensure the delivery of program/projects is in line with business objectives efficiently, and within agreed timeline and enabling realization of business benefits.
  • Partner with the business to develop idea management artifacts (project scope, charter, Business case stakeholder).
  • Partners with IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure that the solutions identified are compliant with EA strategy and standards.
  • Analyze high-level requirements, conduct cost/benefit analyses to determine proper solutions.
  • Implement best practices to continually improve performance of solutions to achieve the long term strategic goals.
  • Seeks and obtains a deep understanding of the solutions supporting the Finance and Controlling processes.
  • Responsible to ensure system integrity and design is upheld and changes verified.
  • Collaborate with relevant partners and stakeholders to ensure project and operational performances are met.
  • Plays leadership role on Finance and Controlling solution projects and initiatives.
  • Assists functions to understand system impacts to process improvement and changes.
  • Works with external partners to implement new functionality according to functional requirements.
  • Completes and oversees SAP and non-SAP technical and application changes.
  • Actively participates in industry forums and understand how new industry trends be leverage in the Finance function.
  • Participate in escalations on innovation initiatives and relationships with the key suppliers.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • SAP certification is preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIECE)
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant IT experience executing or leading SAP implementations of Finance, FP&A and Controlling solutions
  • 5+ years in roles where demonstrated exceptional leadership and solution capabilities partnering or part of Finance & Controlling functions
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with financial planning tools like SAC Planning, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.
  • Has led Finance projects to optimize business processes leveraging technology
  • Led business case development for complex Finance initiatives
  • Strong understanding and experience in developing standards-based Business Process Documents and related documentation
  • Has led business process modeling for Finance and related LOB's for a global corporation
  • Has provided knowledge transfer, training and mentoring
  • Detailed understanding of S/4 HANA system integration and functionality
  • Has participated on Finance forums
  • Has led or participated in software selection activities
  • Experience in functional processes
  • Experience in SAP Finance business applications and its integration with other SAP components, e.g. GL, AP, AR, Material Ledger, Product Costing, Treasury, Group Reporting, ARIBA, MDG, etc.
  • Experience with non-SAP system/technology integrations with S/4 like HighRadius, Blackline, Celonis, Anaplan etc.
  • Experience with software, infrastructure and technologies. For example:
  • Automation technologies, e.g. EDI, RPA, ML, AI
  • Knowledge and experience with business process management [BPM]
