Front Load Driver (CDL) - Commercial Waste Collection

Starting Pay: $27.00+ per hour - Pay is commensurate with experience

Waste Pro is growing and is currently hiring a Front Load Driver to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. At Waste Pro, our drivers are the backbone of our operation. We provide modern equipment, ongoing training, strong leadership support, and a culture focused on safety and career growth.
Position Summary
The Front Load Driver operates commercial refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes servicing local businesses and commercial customers. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste materials while delivering Waste Pro's "Distinguishably Different" customer service experience. Drivers perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete required documentation, maintain equipment, and ensure routes are completed safely and professionally

Essential Job Functions
  • Operate Front Load collection vehicles safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
  • Service commercial customers by emptying front load containers using hydraulic lifting equipment.
  • Access containers located within enclosures and corrals as needed.
  • Move and position containers weighing up to 600 pounds using caster wheels.
  • Collect loose debris and clean up spills when necessary.
  • Transport waste materials to designated disposal facilities.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complete route sheets, vehicle condition reports, mileage records, fuel logs, and other required documentation.
  • Identify and report vehicle maintenance concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and promptly report service issues.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
  • Clean waste from packer blades and truck body during landfill runs.
  • Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and defensive driving practices.

Qualifications Required
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL
  • Safe driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and coworkers

Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle operation requirements
Ability to safely operate front load collection equipment
Ability to follow designated routes and work schedules
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to complete written reports and required documentation
Ability to exercise sound judgment regarding safe waste collection and transportation practices
Physical Requirements
Ability to enter and exit truck frequently throughout the workday
Ability to move containers and perform physical work associated with refuse collection
Ability to lift, bend, reach, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to see, hear, and operate commercial equipment safely with or without reasonable accommodation
Additional Responsibilities
Attend and participate in company-sponsored training programs.
Stay current on technology and equipment used by Waste Pro.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
