Job description

StevenDouglas has partnered with an exceptional, privately held company for their Controller search. This role is on-site, 5 days per week.


Reporting to the VP, the Controller will lead the accounting department and serve as the financial backbone of this Company's construction operations. This role will ensure that job costs, WIP, billing, margins, certified payroll, and reporting are accurate, timely, and actionable.


Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years of Controller experience in the Construction industry space
  • Proven experience in job costing, cost control, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and margin tracking in a construction environment
  • Advanced Excel skills — financial modeling, reporting, dashboards
  • Proven ability to work directly with Project Managers and Operations teams to connect field activity with financial results
  • Strong understanding of labor productivity, earned vs. burned, cost to complete, and job profitability analysis
