The FP amp;A Associate’s primary focus is to improve overall business performance through financial analysis, operational efficiency, and strategic evaluation. This role focuses on analyzing sales trends, customer profitability, and inventory dynamics while identifying opportunities to improve margins, optimize logistics, and support strategic growth initiatives. The analyst partners closely with Sales, Merchandising, Operations, and Finance to deliver actionable insights that drive revenue and operational efficiency.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES amp; DUTIES
The primary Responsibilities and Duties of this position are:
  • Develop and maintain sales reporting and dashboards by customer, product category and sales channel
  • Conduct pro forma and ROI analyses for new product launches, private label programs, and promotional campaigns
  • Analyze customer profitability, including margin performance, freight costs, discounts, and chargebacks
  • Evaluate pricing strategies across SKUs, including volume discounts, bundle pricing, and seasonal markdowns
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost-to-serve through logistics optimization (freight consolidation, shipping methods, vendor terms)
  • Partner with Merchandising and Inventory teams to analyze product performance, turnover rates, and markdown risk
  • Support forecasting and demand planning, factoring in seasonality, fashion trends, and promotional calendars
  • Assess new business opportunities, including new retail partners, e-commerce channels, and international expansion
  • Provide scenario analysis and financial insights to support executive decision-making
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and deliver insights on key financial drivers
  • Partner with Accounting department on month-end close and ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance
  • Analyze manufacturing cost variances, including materials, labor and overhead
  • Monitor key financial and operational KPIs, including gross margin, inventory turnover, and working capital
SKILLS amp; QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, mathematics, or statistics a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, ideally in a wholesale or consumer goods environment
  • Experience working with SKU-level data, pricing, and inventory analysis
  • Understanding of wholesale pricing structures, promotions, and margin management
  • Familiarity with supply chain and logistics cost drivers (freight, duties, packaging)
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, ERP systems, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for Sales and Merchandising teams
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Interest in fashion, accessories, or consumer trends is a plus
