Job description

Summary:  The Financial Services Assistant is responsible for assisting our Financial

Services Managers with lenders and financial institutions to provide financial

services to dealership customers.

Position is 100% on-site.

Essential Duties include the following; however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Assist with reviewing customer credit applications.
  • Assist with ensuring necessary documentation for each deal is complete by utilizing a deal checklist.
  • Assist with maintaining Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards.
  • Ensures compliance with all laws and regulatory obligations relative to financial services and products.
  • Supports the dealership’s initiative in transaction compliance programs.
  • Complies with all Transaction compliance rules and regulations.
  • Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with organizational guidelines and local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
  • Accurately completes documents necessary for the completion and funding of all vehicles purchased in 10 days or less.
  • Accounts for all monies collected for each transaction, provides copies of check/visa slips, and takes steps necessary to ensure all funds are collected in 10 days or less.
  • Gathers necessary documentation required by funding sources for the approval and processing of each transaction.
  • Communicates and maintains a good working relationship with the finance sources.
  • Communicates with the sales staff and sales managers on an ongoing basis as to the status of an application, no later than the next working day.
  • Acts as liaison between the customer and the lending institution.
  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensures adherence to F&I reporting requirements of company.

Qualifications

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively.
  • Must be detail orientated and be able to work under pressure.
