What You"ll Do
* Prepare and distribute daily plant financial and operational reporting, including labor, production and P&L information reviewed by senior divisional leadership.
* Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
* Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances, identify root causes and prepare executive-level summaries.
* Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting and consolidation activities.
* Perform product costing, cost analysis and operational performance reporting.
* Develop journal entries and map financial accounts using Oracle.
* Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports.
* Prepare financial and operational review packages for division and corporate leadership.
* Support inventory reporting, physical inventory counts and shop-floor observations.
* Assist with cash reporting and related daily, weekly and monthly analysis.
* Support SOX reporting, internal controls and testing requirements.
* Partner with operations on product cost analysis, scrap disposition and cost-saving initiatives.
* Gather business requirements and help design standardized financial reporting processes.
* Assist with system testing, process documentation and user training.
* Complete special projects and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Build productive relationships with managers, supervisors and employees throughout the facility.
What You"ll Bring
* Bachelor"s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related business discipline.
* At least two years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, accounting or financial analysis.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and their practical application.
* Experience analyzing financial statements, operating results and account variances.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision.
* Strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities.
* Willingness to spend time in a manufacturing environment and learn plant processes.
* Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
* Financial analysis or accounting experience within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, metals, forging or another industrial environment.
* Oracle ERP experience.
* Cost accounting or plant finance experience.
* Experience with inventory accounting and physical inventory processes.
* SOX compliance or internal controls experience.
* Exposure to SQL or SAS.
* Experience improving financial reporting or business processes.
Work Environment and Schedule:
This is a fully onsite position based in Dillon, South Carolina. The Financial Analyst will regularly interact with employees on the manufacturing floor and should be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment.
