Job description

ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.ย We are seeking aย Resource Analystย to support a NASA contract inย Greenbelt, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time Resource Analyst supportย for the Earth Dynamics Geodetic Explorer (EDGE) and Stratosphere Troposphere Response using Infrared Vertically resolved light Explorer (STRIVE) projects at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
  • Provide financial support in the areas of budget planning and execution, monitoring contracts, task orders, and purchases for cost trending analysis, working with project team members to review planned vs. actual costs, and providing monthly status reports.
  • Budget planning and execution responsibilities include participation in monthly project subsystem analysis and forecasting, preparing estimates to complete (ETC). Individual will work with Product Development Lead (PDL) to update project Basis of Estimate (BOE) templates and ETCs and fund project contracts and task orders in accordance with approved subsystem baselines. Individual will support aggregation of subsystem data for monthly reporting and other programmatic planning activities, including PPBE and phasing plans.
  • Monitor prime contracts, such as spacecraft and spacecraft instruments, and support services contracts to analyze program costs. This includes analyzing vendor 533s and financial reports from the Contractor Resources Tracking System (CORTS), and reports from SAP using the Business Objects (BOBJ) tool. The Contractor Cost Reporting (CCR) tool may be used to input monthly 533 cost data.
  • Appropriately fund contracts, task orders, and purchases through multiple transaction types, such as Purchase Requisitions (PR), CORTS transfers, and unique funding templates.
  • Responsible for gathering 533 financial data and logging into a project repository; provides support in generating project financial actual costs data from SAP/BOBJ and aggregating data from project repositories to generate project unique financial actual costs datasets. Supports aggregation of subsystem forecasts to form project ETC. Supports merging and actual costs data and ETC to create project estimate at complete (EAC) dataset.
  • Supports generation of monthly programmatic reporting products for Project Status Review (PSR).

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Outlook), with emphasis using Excel, including pivot tables and logic formulas.
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully accomplish responsibilities within a team in a fast-paced environment; ability to manage time and meet the many reporting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
  • Experience with GSFC Financial Systems, including SAP, BOBJ, Contractor Cost Reporting System, Funds Control System, and CORTS is desired.
  • Experience in the areas of budget planning and execution for flight projects is a plus.
  • Compliance with NASA and Goddard regulations and procedural requirements is mandatory.
  • Must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
