Northrop Grumman has openings for a Level 3 Principal Financial and Proposal Analyst and a Level 4 Senior Principal Financial and Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be in Melbourne, Florida.
As the Financial and Proposal Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for company sales, budget analysis and CAM (Control Account Manager) responsibilities across the portfolio. The position requires cross functional collaboration with other departments primarily consisting of Subcontracts, Program Management, Cost Management, Contracts, and Pricing. The Financial Analyst is anticipated to cover a portion of the Systems new business and follow-on execution activity. The business analyst should be comfortable working in a fast-paced multi conflicting priority environment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage sales forecast across multiple portfolios.
  • Close coordination with Supplier Management Team to get the most up to date information regarding deliveries and invoicing.
  • Collaborating with Cost Management to validate EACs are in line with financial forecast.
  • Working with the Finance team to make sure all inputs are submitted in a timely fashion.
  • Working monthly Earned Value rhythm with Cost Management to make sure EAC/VAR explanations are provided as required.
  • Preparing clear, concise, and timely GSC cost charts and supporting GSC and Program needs as required.
  • Demonstrating skill and ability to analyze and develop solutions for complex problems.
  • Communicating effectively and clearly presenting approaches and findings.
  • Position requires the ability to work under pressure in a multiple conflicting priority environment and often requires the ability to work long hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Successful candidate should have extensive material estimating experience.

This position may be hired at the Level 3 - Principal or Level 4 - Senior Principal level depending upon candidate qualifications, experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Proposal/Financial Analyst
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, mathematics, or other related field with 5 years of proposal, financial, material estimating or related experience OR a Master's Degree in business, economics, mathematics, or other related field with 3 years of financial, proposal, material estimating or related experience
  • Material estimating experience in a US Government execution environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Proposal/Financial Analyst
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, mathematics, or other related field with 8 years of proposal, financial, material estimating or related experience OR a Master's Degree in business, economics, mathematics, or other related field with 6 years of financial, proposal, material estimating or related experience
  • Material estimating experience in a US Government execution environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience across different proposal phases (development, production and sustainment) and factor development.
  • Hands on experience with estimating or financial analysis, including data collection and normalization
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and works well in a team situation
  • Extensive material experience with government contracting and FAR
  • Current active security clearance
  • Independent forward thinker
  • Master's Degree

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
