Working Capital Fund Lead Financial Analyst (Strategy) โ€“ ESAG BizFirst

ESAG BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Working Capital Fund Lead Financial Analyst (Strategy) to support the U.S. Space Forceโ€™s Enterprise Space Activity Group (ESAG). Our client is a boutique consulting firm specializing in delivering strategic, financial, and operational solutions to defense agencies with a focus on mission impact and modernization. What You Will Do

As the Lead Financial Analyst (Strategy), you will drive strategic planning and transition efforts for the implementation and optimization of the Working Capital Fund (WCF) model within the U.S. Space Force. You will develop long-range financial transition strategies, align WCF initiatives with enterprise goals, and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution across organizational units. This role requires a high-level view of financial operations, analytical depth, and the ability to translate complex data into mission-driven strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of transition strategies for the implementation or refinement of Working Capital Fund structures
  • Conduct strategic assessments and identify organizational, operational, and financial impacts of WCF adoption
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement across OCFO, operations, logistics, and mission support functions
  • Develop financial models, strategic roadmaps, and performance metrics to guide transition planning and execution
  • Ensure alignment with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, and Space Force financial policy and goals
  • Prepare executive briefings, decision memos, and financial presentations for senior leaders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial strategy with budgeting, accounting, and reporting operations
  • Support enterprise readiness assessments, risk mitigation planning, and policy formulation
  • Leverage tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint for analysis and communication
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (any field)
  • Experience Requirements (one of the following): 4 years of financial management experience in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment, OR Specialized Requirement: Proven ability to prepare comprehensive WCF transition documents detailing strategy, timelines, tasks, stakeholder engagement, and policy considerations.
  • Preferred: DISA FAMIS, USAF Financial Business System experience.
  • Security Clearance: Secret or higher.
