About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst, Operations & Supply Chain will serve as a strategic financial partner to our Warehouse and Transportation teams while also supporting corporate SG&A budgeting and reporting. This role will translate complex operational and logistics data into clear, actionable financial insights that help leaders make better decisions. From labor planning and transportation strategy to procurement, corporate expense management, and capital investments, this position will play an important role in identifying efficiencies, improving cost visibility, and supporting the continued growth of our distribution network.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. In office 3 days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Predictive Labor Modeling: Build and maintain dynamic labor capacity models that connect historical warehouse volume trends with labor hours and staffing needs. Partner with Operations leadership to develop predictive staffing targets that help reduce labor volatility, improve workforce planning, and minimize unnecessary overtime spend.
  • Fleet Mix & Route Optimization: Conduct scenario analyses across our asset-based fleet and LTL carrier network to identify the most cost-effective transportation strategies. Evaluate the optimal mix of vehicle classes, including box trucks and day cabs, based on route density, drop size, delivery frequency, and other operational factors. Use financial modeling to identify opportunities to reduce LTL dependency and lower total cost-to-deliver.
  • Non-Inventory Procurement & Supply Analysis: Partner directly with the Pawtucket-based Purchasing team to review, analyze, and optimize non-inventory and supply-related vendor spend. This includes areas such as warehouse supplies, packaging, facility maintenance, and corporate service contracts. Identify trends, efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities while improving visibility into ongoing spend.
  • Corporate SG&A Partnering & Reporting: Serve as the primary FP&A partner for corporate SG&A departments, including HR, IT, Legal, Marketing, and other functions. Own monthly expense reporting, variance analysis, forecasting support, and annual budget development while helping department leaders understand and manage their financial performance.
  • HQ Cross-Functional Alignment & CapEx: Partner closely with the Pawtucket-based Accounting team during month-end close to support accurate operational expense reporting, accruals, and financial visibility. Develop ROI models, financial analyses, and business cases for investments such as warehouse automation, fleet expansion, and supply chain technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of corporate financial analysis experience, ideally within a distribution, logistics, 3PL, or manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex operational data into meaningful financial insights.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both corporate partners and on-the-ground warehouse and transportation leaders.
