Job description

A 4th generation family owned company established in 1945, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots.  We are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join our Accounting/Finance Team at the Corporate Headquarters in Bells, TN.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations through the evaluation, interpretation, and communication of financial information that informs sound business decisions. This role partners with departments across the organization to maintain the integrity of financial records, enhance reporting processes, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations. The position also contributes to planning initiatives, audit activities, and continuous process improvements that promote operational efficiency and financial accuracy.


• Ensure that financial budgets are prepared accurately, timely and all balances are properly supported.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of select accounts.
• Work in coordination with other professionals across the organization to support financial reporting and fixed assets reporting.
• Prepare analysis of financial statements and provide data-supported answers to management regarding complex financial transactions.
• Prepare budget schedules and reports to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure reporting meets the needs of the business and propose improvements upon current reporting. Reporting should be flexible in order to meet the changing needs of the business over time.
• Prepare reports and journal entries for monthly and year-end close.
• Engage with Internal and External Auditors as needed to provide supporting documents for interim and year-end audit documentation.
• Provide feedback to account owners on reconciling items and assist in clearing when necessary.
• Prepare annual property tax returns across multiple jurisdictions and ensure payments are made on a timely basis.
• Work with jurisdictions to ensure the assessed property values are correct.
• Assist with property tax audits as needed

This position will work in an office environment. Limited travel may be required.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in public accounting, financial reporting, or other general ledger accounting is required.  FP&A experience preferred.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Certified Public Accountant or MBA a plus).

SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficient in accounting systems and ability to analyze large amounts of data for reporting.

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
