Job description

Purpose
The Tour and Admissions Specialist is a key member of the Enrollment Management/Admissions team and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and informative first impression of the college. This position coordinates and conducts campus tours, supports recruitment efforts, and manages the admissions application process. By providing exceptional customer service, accurate information, and efficient application processing, the specialist helps prospective students navigate the admissions process and successfully transition into the college community.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum High School diploma, AAS Degree preferred
• Ability to engage and connect with diverse student populations and families.
• Excellent organizational and event-planning skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for recruitment events.
• Experience in customer service, recruitment, or higher education (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Employment is dependent upon a pre-employment background screening
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone

• Ability to lift, set up and transport recruiting displays, promotional items, and College simulators

Job Duties
Essential Functions
• Regular attendance and timeliness
• Coordinate and manage individual and group campus visits, tours, and special events.
• Serve as a primary contact for prospective students and families during their campus visit experience.
• Present information about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, and student life in a clear and engaging way.
• Support recruitment activities, including high school visits, college fairs, and community events.
• Train, supervise, and schedule student ambassadors or tour guides as we renew and build this program.
• Support planning and execution of large-scale admissions events such as open houses, Jr/Sr Days, and Registration Days.
• Collaborate with marketing staff to promote recruitment events and create student-focused materials.
• Review relevant areas of the website and recommend changes.
• Collect visitor feedback and track data on tours and recruitment activities to inform future strategies.
• Provide personalized follow-up communication to prospective students and families before and after campus visits.
• Collaborate with admissions counselors and campus departments to create a welcoming, well-organized visit experience.
• Assist with general admissions office support, including answering inquiries by phone, email, or in person.
• Assist admissions staff with college representation at college fairs, trades shows, and events, if needed.
