Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Director EPM, Finance Tech, located in Raynham, MA, with secondary locations in Raritan, NJ, and West Chester, PA.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. The Director, EPM, Finance Tech is a senior technology leader responsible for the strategy, delivery, and optimization of enterprise performance management platforms and capabilities that enable scalable, compliant, and data-driven financial planning and decision-making. This role plays a critical part in supporting DePuy Synthes' transformation and separation journey, ensuring Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) capabilities are future-ready, integrated, and aligned to Finance priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape global finance technology strategy, lead high-performing teams, and partner closely with Finance, IT, and business leaders to deliver measurable business value through modern planning, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the EPM and Finance Technology strategy, aligned with enterprise and Finance objectives.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of EPM capabilities supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, management reporting, and financial analytics.
  • Provide people leadership for multidisciplinary technology teams, including talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant technology solutions.
  • Oversee program and portfolio management for finance technology initiatives, including budget, timelines, and risk management.
  • Ensure EPM solutions comply with financial controls, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.
  • Manage relationships with system integrators and technology vendors, ensuring value delivery and service quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in finance processes through automation, standardization, connected planning, predictive forecasting, and data-driven insights.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in enterprise technology roles supporting Finance, including EPM, financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, or large-scale finance transformation programs.
  • Strong people-leader experience, managing managers and senior professionals.
  • Deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, finance processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and translate strategy into execution.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide Finance Technology initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud, Hyperion, OneStream, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BPC, Anaplan, or other enterprise performance management platforms.
  • Experience integrating EPM solutions with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Central Finance, BW/4HANA, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Background supporting business separations, integrations, or large-scale transformations.
  • Experience in MedTech, Life Sciences, or regulated industries.
  • Strong change leadership and organizational transformation capabilities.
  • Proven experience leading large, complex EPM implementations, planning transformations, or finance modernization initiatives.

  • Travel: Up to ~20%, domestic and limited international.
