Job description

Weโ€™re looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Strategic Finance / FP&A Analyst to join our growing finance team. This role will partner closely with leadership across the company to drive strategic planning, financial insights, and operational decision-making.

Youโ€™ll play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and executive reporting while helping scale financial processes in a fast-growing environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong operator, with a proven ability to drive business initiatives through execution while evaluating the business from a high-level, critical perspective.

This role offers the flexibility of working from our Mountain View, CA office three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with the option to work remotely for the remainder of the week.


What You Will Do:
  • Budgeting & Planning: Assist in the development, monitoring, and management of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Work closely with department leaders to ensure financial plans are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build, maintain, and refine complex financial operating models to project company performance and evaluate new business opportunities. Conduct scenario analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities in business strategies.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, offering actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple teams to collect and assess relevant data, ensuring business objectives are aligned with broader financial goals. Assist in and execute on ad-hoc requests from business leaders, often requiring the management of multiple stakeholders and aligned outcomes.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide accurate and timely financial analyses for special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc requests to support executive decision-making. Drive narrative behind numbers in the analysis of business data and how it drives financial outcomes.
  • Process Development & Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance financial processes, improving data accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Investor & Board Meeting Preparation: Support quarterly Board and investor reporting processes by developing high-quality materials, synthesizing key business insights, and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and executive-level storytelling.



What You Will Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in a private equity or venture capital firm.
  • At least 3+ years of strategic finance / FP&A role at a growth-stage company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
  • Self-directed and takes initiative.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations.
  • Strong business partnership and communication skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The base salary range for this position is $160K-$180K salary + equity. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
