Job description

Almac is currently seeking a Financial Accountant for the Souderton, PA location. The Financial Accountant is responsible for performing accounting functions related to financial accounting, analysis, and reporting.
* This role has the opportunity to be hybrid after approximately 6 months of employment. 2 days WFH
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation and distribute monthly financial reports which identify both production variances and spending variances.
  • Prepare and review Intercompany transactions globally to identify and resolve out-of-balance variances or discrepancies.
  • Responsible for preparing manual journal entries, developing supporting schedules, and performing detailed reviews of cost management transactions, project accounting (cost) activity, and other financial accounting entries. Analyzes monthly results to ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Performs comprehensive balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of stock inventory accounts, customer specific inventory and services accruals, and trade creditor accrual balances. Analyze variances, validating underlying transactions, and confirming that all reconciled items are properly supported and aligned with financial reporting requirements.
  • Supports all budget activities by preparing financial data, performing analytical reviews, coordinating departmental input, and contributing to the completion of annual budget deliverables.
Additional Functions-
1. Respond to various inquiries from the Director - Finance and Assistant Controller.
2. Daily interaction both within and outside of Finance to ensure proper GL reporting.
3. Addressing internal and external emails as required.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in accounting/finance degree required.
  • 1-3 years of Accounting/Cost Accounting experience
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 1+ years of experience with Oracle Financials is preferred.
