Norton Rose Fulbright is currently seeking a mid-level lawyer to join its Canadian Financial Services and Regulation team.

Members of our Financial Services and Regulation team advise financial institutions, including insurers, banks, trust companies, as well as other regulated and unregulated financial service providers and intermediaries, on a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters.

More specifically, our team counsels financial service providers on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing and distribution requirements, regulatory investigations, referral arrangements, and other corporate matters.

Skills and experience required
  • Be a member in good standing of a Canadian bar;

  • Have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar position in private practice;

  • Knowledge of the insurance regulatory sector is required;

  • Possess strong organizational skills;

  • Demonstrate business acumen and the ability to build excellent client relationships;

  • Have strong attention to detail;

  • Show a high level of intellectual curiosity and a willingness to take initiative;

  • Have excellent teamwork skills;

  • Demonstrate effective priority management and the ability to work well under pressure.
