Job description

Role: Finance Analyst
Palo Alto, CA
1 Year
NO C2C
Perform financial analysis at a large technology company, with a focus on providing finance and operational insight that can be actioned upon by executives of the business unit. Primary responsibilities include:
โ€ข Developing and improving on finance and performance dashboards
โ€ข Utilizing databases and dashboards to identify and solve ongoing business issues in order to generate actionable insight for executives
โ€ข Partner with business unit stakeholders to determine their on-going analysis needs in order to drive insight
โ€ข Perform financial close activities, to include financial statement consolidation, variance analysis of budget versus plan, and booking accruals
โ€ข Conduct financial forecasting, to include the yearly business plan and ongoing forecasting based on the needs of the business
โ€ข Present succinct and insightful financial insights to business unit executives
Qualifications Required
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or a similar quantitative degree.
โ€ข 1 to 3 years of financial planning & analysis experience at a multi-national company preferably in the technology space.
โ€ข Proficiency in excel, especially using pivot tables and v-lookup functionality.
โ€ข Excellent quantitative, written, and presentation skills, with an attention to thoroughness and detail.
โ€ข Prior experience presenting insights and analysis to senior leadership.
Preferred
โ€ข Master's Degree, MBA
โ€ข Prior experience using databases and extracting data using SQL.
โ€ข Experience with Oracle and Hyperion.
โ€ข Ability to research and analyze data from internal and external sources.
โ€ข Superior skills with Microsoft Office application.
โ€ข Experience with SAP BPC and SQL.
