POSITION OVERVIEW

The Cost Analyst II is responsible for providing Cost of Goods Sold information to Commercial Managers and Program Management regarding existing technologies by using their expertise of Gentex manufacturing processes and analysis skills.

This is an onsite position located in Zeeland, MI. It is not open to hybrid or remote work at this time.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop cost models for advanced, existing technologies with cross functional teams to support Commercial Management.

  • Work with senior Cost Analysts to gain exposure to cost model development for new technologies.

  • Meet with Production Teams to ensure process flows reflect the last production processes.

  • Schedule time on the production floor on a recurring basis to increase understanding of manufacturing processes that drive product cost.

  • Develop cost models for new technologies with the assistance of the Cost Manager.

  • Work closely with Product and Project Management teams.

  • Develop cost models for Requests for Information (RFIs) to support Commercial Management and Sales, with the assistance of the Cost Manager.

  • Develop and/or maintain reports to support Commercial Management.

  • Update cost information in Saphran Quote Base system.

  • Update cost models for products that are not in Quote Base.

  • Meet with Production Teams, Product Teams, and Program Teams to gather cost information.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in cost management, commercial finance or other related area.

  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Advanced knowledge of Smartsheets.

  • Good understanding of production processes.

  • Willingness to spend time on the production floor.
