Job description

Voya Financial is seeking 3-5 Financial Advisors immediately to join our team to work with employees of a new government defined contribution client in DC.

The Financial Advisors/Team will be responsible for increasing employee engagement and education thru 457(b)/401(a) enrollment assistance, retirement and investment strategy guidance, and participant education.

To be eligible for the Financial Advisor role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience working defined contribution plans, 457(b), and 401(a) preferred
  • Securities registrations Series 6, 65 or 7 and 66. IAR is a must.
  • Life & Health Insurance License
  • Desire to assist clients and meet their financial and retirement goals and simultaneously to put forth the efforts necessary to become a top producer in the Financial Services Industry

Qualified candidates are expected to have the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of the defined contribution marketplace 457(b), and 401(a) preferred
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable with conducting group meetings, along with strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of rules/regulations around contribution limits, loans, withdrawals, vesting, and plan documents
  • Territory management and business development
  • Relationship building
  • Excellent technology skills are also expected
