Kellogg Community Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Advisor!


This role is ideal for an ambitious, relationship-focused individual who is interested in building a career in financial services. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for helping people, and the motivation to learn. The Junior Financial Advisor will market and explain investment services to members at branch offices, serve as a resource for securities-related products and services, and support members with investment-related transactions and account servicing. This position works closely with an experienced advisor while learning industry regulations, products, and best practices.


Job Functions

  • Support the sales process by assisting with securities-related transactions and account servicing 
  • Meet with members to identify financial needs and provide appropriate solutions under guidance from senior advisor
  • Assist with opening new investment and brokerage accounts 
  • Prepare and process account documentation and follow up on outstanding paperwork 
  • Assist members with money movement requests, including ACH/EFT transactions 
  • Support the setup of mutual fund investment plans and systematic withdrawal plans 
  • Build and maintain strong member relationships while delivering exceptional service 
  • Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities 
  • Support the company's marketing and member service philosophy 

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent business experience preferred (appropriate experience may substitute for education) 
  • Strong member service, communication, and relationship-building skills 
  • Interest in financial services, investments, and helping members achieve financial goals 
  • Ability and willingness to learn detailed processes, regulations, and investment products 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
